Stop Kavoos' Deportation
|
|
Canada is a country of freedom, rights and laws If we don't use them, then what are they for?
What a shame for all of us: To allow someone to stay in our land for 8 years in fear and hope, To ask him one day to present himself in our government office, To inform him that his request for staying in our country has been rejected, To arrest him on the spot and ask his family first for $3000 to release him on bail, To later increase the amount to $12000, Finally to announce that the judge has changed his mind and that person has to stay in detention until his deportation.
This person has a profession, clients, contracts and unfinished jobs, he has a home, he has a rental agreement, he is socially active, has some engagement toward others... Couldn't we give him the proper time to prepare his departure in a human way? We waited for eight years couldn't we wait for a few more months.
He came with dignity, we force him to leave broken and maybe with a heart full of hate for us.

Kavoos on Hunger Strike |
Day 11
|
|
Kavoos family and friends launched a campaign against the inhumane treatment of our government officers. They don't want to break or change the law. They don't claim any special privileges for Kavoos. They want for Kavoos just the rights that a human being should have no matter from where he comes. If our laws are blind and want to be applied from A to Z the way they are those who apply them should also listen to their hearts. They should keep in mind that all of us as citizens of Canada have also some rights. Our government doesn't have the right to ignore our emotions and our desire. We are not fighting only for Kavoos, we are also fighting our own rights. We don't want to witnessing the same kinds of behaviours as we fled from. We are requesting that the Immigration Canada accord to Kavoos the proper time either to prepare his departure with dignity or to organize himself legally to use his rights to stay with us.

He Needs Your Help
Once in a while it happens that one of us needs the help of others.
Not knowing that he/she is the fire in the centre
to gather all and make us realize that we are one.
This time Kavoos needs all of our efforts, actions and love.
He is in instance of being deported (February 07)
our immediate involvement is a
must.
No matter if you are a family member, a friend, an acquaintance
or just someone happened to be there to share
Kavoos fear and pain.
Your participation is much appreciated.

Where is he now?
He has been retained by Immigration Canada since January 11, 2012 without notice.
Kavoos has been relocated on January 25th to:
Toronto West Detention Centre at 111 Disco Road, Etobicoke.
(416) 675-1806
There is no possibility to contact him on the phone.
Visiting him is very restricted.
Twice a week and only 20 minutes each time.
His family is requesting everyone not to go to see him as they need these 2 times to be in contact with Kavoos.
How can we help?
1- Join the Kavoos_yar group to be informed and inform others
2- Let all your friends know about the case and ask them to join the group
3- Let us know everything and anyone who can be a help for the cause.
4- Follow the instruction and apply to the request of the group manager (Kavoos Family) such as signing
the petition, contacting your MPs, participating actively in all group gatherings and demonstrations.
5- Suggest what ever come to your mind that can help the cause.

http://www.oyetimes.com/lifestyle/114/17426-man-goes-on-hunger-strike-to-stop-his
This article is in French and about a rather random
issue but it shows how active the Iranian regime is to control the
content of Facebook and that they have visibly installed a
cyber-police.
http://www.lepoint.fr/monde/l-iran-traque-ses-bombes-sur-facebook-02-02-2012-1426641_24.php
So if you search for this 'cyberpolice Iran' on google, you get
quite a number of hits that could be exploited to prove that they
must be aware of Kavoos' postings.
So there is an English article referring to the French one :
http://www.rferl.org/content/irans_cyber_police_detain_facebook_group_administrators/24468239.html
and also :
http://www.presstv.ir/detail/161659.html
A pity that
this article is in French but try to find something in English :
http://soliranparis.wordpress.com/2012/01/17/le-regime-iranien-a-decide-de-pister-et-traquer-les-dissidents-via-leurs-pages-face-book/
The article confirms clearly that Iran has decided to be very
present on Facebook.
